You are a full NYU student this January, and all resources, services, clubs, and events are available to you while you are here.  NYU is a large university with many communities in which you can get involved.  Below are a few of the services and resources available to you to help you connect with others while at NYU.  Most of these offices have newsletters or listservs you can subscribe to in order to receive regular updates about information and events throughout the semester.  More information about getting involved is available online.

Transfer Student Programs

All January Term students are a part of the transfer student community.  Transfer Student Programs assists you with navigating NYU resources and services and connecting you with other students at the University who are new to NYU through activities and events.

Commuter and Off-Campus Student Services

All students who do not live in NYU Housing are a part of the commuter and off-campus student community.  Commuter and Off-Campus Student Services offers workshops, programs, and events to enhance wellness, academic success, and student connections within NYU.

While Graduate Student Life serves as resource for graduate students on campus earning their master’s or doctoral degrees, it is also a great resource for Fall in New York students who are of graduate student age (23 years or older).  If you are 23 or older and interested in meeting other students on campus your age, get involved with Graduate Life events and activities!

The Office of Global Services (OGS) provides specialized support to NYU’s international students including immigration advising and guidance, programs and events, cultural adjustment resources and more.

The Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP) produces intentional and sustained educational initiatives and campus-wide programs in the area of diversity and social justice.  Through collaborations with a broad range of students, faculty, administrators and community partners CMEP’s efforts are designed to make an institutional impact in enhancing intercultural awareness and offer compelling ways to explore the complex intersection of race, gender, religion, socio-economic class, ethnicity, sexual orientation, national origin and many other aspects of identity in our daily lives.   For more information about CMEP’s events, programs, and student groups, visit the website.

NYU Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Student Center

The New York University Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Student Center creates a welcoming environment for all University students interested in developing their understanding of LGBTQ issues. Support services, resources, programs, advocacy, training, education and consultation are provided to members of the NYU community. With its services, programs and resources, the NYU LGBTQ Student Center exists to create campus environments that are inclusive and supportive of student diversity in the areas of sexual orientation and gender identity and expression.

The Center for Spiritual Life is a multifaith initiative to enhance the educational experience by providing a safe environment for all students to grow, explore and deepen their own beliefs and values.
