January Term technically takes place during NYU’s traditional winter break, so some offices may be closed or operating on a reduced schedule. However all of the essential resources will be open and available for your use. Below are some examples…

Student Resource Center (SRC): Your go-to for any (and we mean any) questions about NYU or NYC. The SRC will also be sending you a weekly Winter Guide in your NYU email inbox, so keep an eye out for that! Email or stop by in person.

Transfer Student Programs: The SRC also houses Transfer Student Programs, which all visiting students are considered a part of. Events, newsletters, and suggested ways to get involved are all available through Transfer Student Programs.

Commuter & Off-Campus Student ServicesServices such as lockers, a commuter lounge, transportation information, and events are all offered through Commuter & Off-Campus Student Services.

NYU Gyms: Our two gyms, 404 Fitness and Palladium, will be open during January Term. Visiting students  enrolled in at least 3 credits can access both facilities, which include a track, two pools, rock climbing walls, multipurpose courts, weights, and machines. Check hours and resources for each online, and visit the Membership Office to arrange your membership this winter.

Ticket Central: Get discounted tickets to movies, sporting events, Broadway shows, and more through NYU’s Ticket Central.

Center for Spiritual Life: The newly-opened Global Center for Academic and Spiritual Life is a safe environment for the exploration of multiple faiths. Interfaith initiatives, worship services, and meditation through the Mindfulness Project are just a few of the initiatives offered through the Center for Spiritual Life.
